First Day in NTU! ~030809

It started off a disastrous day for me. I couldn’t sleep the whole night in bus. Closed my eyes but to no avail. And later on only I found out that Mel Veen was the same as me though I thought he was sleeping soundly. Haha..

My hands will probably sprout blisters 2moro due to the fact that I carried 2 freaking heavy bags without rollers.. My shoulders would most probably ache like hell too.

Reaching in Sg and later on in NTU, I seriously don’t feel like I’m out of Malaysia. To be honest, I was very scared when I reached NTU. All of a sudden, the emo me returned, I felt so pressurized.. Being the youngest all these years in Malaysia public school, I realize I was one of the oldest now. And among the weakest..

The worst thing was that the stupid damn TFL.. Heck, that idiot fat lady told me mine would most likely be invalid due to the missing cops.. Scared me to hell when she said that.. I had to bring my mum here or else I have to fill a new form, and to do that, I’ll have to post back to Msia and have it repost back to me.. And my parents had already crossed over to Johor Bahru. I borrowed my senior’s hp and called both of them umpteen times but no response.. Crap, I felt like NTU’s already suffocating me..

Then, ding dong from parents calling back, calling MV’s parents, calling their OCBC friend.. You don’t wanna know the details.. I’m telling myself to forget them too.. What a freaking stress moment! Thank god I had my medical test taken before that.. Very canggih way of taking x-ray, no need to lie down.. Cool.. Urine test, blood pressure, blood test (it wasn’t pain! It was fascinating!;p), and of course the height and weight measurements..

Alright to hostel.. That was the first thing I did when I reached NTU. Got a Batu Pahat roommate who did UEC and is doing Bio Eng. She seems nice;) But when our orientation camp started, we weren’t together anymore. She was joining the Chinese one (dunno wat name) and I was joining the MSA FOC. Yup, I speak Mandarin to her.. At least a year.. Haha.. But it’s ok. Hostel not too bad but freaking dirty. I was dying when I reached hostel at erm 11pm I think. Imagine not having sleep the previous night and doing all the labour by carrying my luggage (many and damn heavy, no joke man!) and walking here and there in NTU to get things done. Trust me, it’s HUGE.. I would easily get lost. By the time it was 9pm, I was really tired and sleepy, the seniors words were not entering.. Lol.. And came back, chatted with the other room girl – from Ipoh, senior 3rd yr in Econs. Sharing bathroom with her and her roommate. She seems nice too.. Hope so;) Cleaned, cleaned, cleaned… Wash, wash, wash… Tired……………………….

But let me fill you in with something nicer, something everyone would want to hear from me. After all, I chose NTU hoping to enjoy, and thank god I did! The camp was amazing! But also coz I told myself, “Hey, just let loose and enjoy! Forget the disastrous day!” I did! And enjoyed all the activities..

Don’t ask me their names, I can’t remember, especially the typical Chinese names but I recognize my group members and some of their particulars. Many seniors and I’m sure that was what that made it all so fun! I made friends with one girl who’s doing Econs, named “Siao Tong”- what a cute name! She speaks Eng, and that made me more comfortable. Hehe.. Then, there’s this girl senior who I like too, but I forgot her name.. Paise wan ask again, duno ask how many times d..

We had a lot of cheers, it was fun coz I really shouted and participated! I’m proud of myself.. Lol.. Then, they had this game where you are suppose to do some action and the rest will follow while one will have to guess who’s the “leader”. Initially they chose a boy to guess but he failed to guess the correct person in so many attempts, so they wanted to forfeit him but decided to get him a friend to be punished together. I was the poor scape goat.. I was chosen to be the next leader, thanks to some senior named Jonathan or something.. But was spotted! Then the seniors were deciding on what type of punishment and they ended with “the 3 wonders” – doesn’t it sound intimidating??? And 2 guy seniors demonstrated. Eww..
1- Left hand on the right cheek;
2- Then I forgot what
3- Legs around the waist!
Urgh!! I thought I had to do that! Gee, I wanted to die.. Luckily they didn’t. Our “3 wonders” was rather funny, lol..
1- Left hand to left hand (ok! No prob!)
2- Left leg to left leg (ok, this was weird but no prob too, I’ve got pretty good balancing)
3- Then, ask us to go lower (this was a little challenging, had to stay for 10 secs, passed!)
Had to be sporting to enjoy oneself right.. I wanted to life my mood so badly..

Then, had this card game where each take a card and show it to others but you yourself. The person with the biggest no.and lowest no.will have to be forfeited again.
Then, at one round, I was advised to change my card (you can do that but have to ans ques), so I decided ya I should (I trusted them coz afew told me to).
A senior named erm.. Ming Lit I think sat beside me. He had a “K”! Obviously he’s changing coz his friends told him not too. Ahaha, that’s the sign you should take notice of right? So, he did and got “Q”. I changed too but I didn’t know actually if I had the smallest or the biggest no.. Changed and got a bloody “Ace”! Argh! The smallest of the smallest! Mine was initially a “K” and I changed to an “Ace”! No difference! And the joke was, there’s only 2 “K’s” so Ming Lit changed his, I changed mine, so no more “K”! The biggest now is “Q”! So, changing cards still made no difference. Still, it was we two who kena.. Alongside another 2.. Crap, but we laughed so madly. Really la, so freaking “cheh” and “sui”!!!

Then later in a game (erm, I duno how to describe the game), I got to know one Malaysian guy (all are Malaysians, actually) who’s doing Mathematical Sciences but is thinking of changing to Mathematics & Economics. He had been studying A-Levels in Sg and visited NTU quite many times. It was nice talking to him coz our group is so big, we don’t get to talk to the others. There are more guys than girls by quite a lot. Maybe like U6A, no, it’s more actually. I noticed that in other groups too. Oh ya, my group is “Hera”, nice name eh.. It’s quite a stupid game but okla. Just that I don’t like them to selit boys in between girls and vice versa. I actually skipped one (not supposed to but very tired and lazy d..) but had another one, so had to join.

2moro got QET but here I am blogging. But couldn’t post it coz internet connection requires a password which we were not given.. Nights!
